Tractor-trailer plowed into tollbooth this morning, driver was drunk

July 22^nd, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) A tractor-trailer plowed into a tollbooth on the General Cañas highway early this morning.  Oscar Calvo of the Transit Police said the driver tested positive for alcohol.

The driver had to be treated by paramedics before being placed under arrest.

As of 6:30 a.m., crews were still attempting to remove the tractor-trailer.  Heavy traffic congestion was being reported in the area, due in part to onlookers.

The driver of the tractor-trailer has not yet been identified.
