May 21st, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) Fuel prices will go up today as a result of a tax increase requested by the Ministry of Finance.
“Super” gasoline will increase 5 by colones per liter, or about 19 colones per gallon, while diesel will increase by 3 colones per liter, or about 11 colones per gallon.
With today’s price increases, a liter of super gasoline will cost 744 colones (about $5.71 per gallon), regular (“plus”) gasoline will cost 705 colones per liter (about $5.41 per gallon), while a liter of diesel will cost 641 colones (about $4.92 per gallon).
