DIS chief arrested after drunken crash in Escazu

May 20th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) Police officers in Escazu arrested last night the deputy director of the Directorate of Intelligence and Security (DIS), after the official crashed into several vehicles while allegedly driving under the influence.  The official, identified by the last name Torres, refused to take a Breathalyzer test.

 

The crash occurred at 7:20pm, near Santa Teresa de San Antonio de Escazu, when the 2011 Kia Cerato driven by the official crashed into the rear of at least one stopped vehicle.  Officers responded after witnesses called the police.

    With a security chief like that, what a joke. This man should start looking for another job and hopefully not in intelligence? or security.

      Ha Donna! He now has a disease.. Alcoholism. So he gets a free pass. He will go to a “”rehab”‘ a joke really. Be put on leave with full benefits and pay and back on the job after Christmas. Costarricenses have no problem with this and the way they have their laws. Wonderful life!

    Truth is stranger than fiction and this proves it. Nobody could have imagined a scenario and have written a novel that would out-do the level of ineptitude and unprofessional conduct displayed by the parties who compose the Executive Branch of this Government.

    From the President down, the whole goverment of Costa Rica is crooked! There needs to be an out side audit done of all of them!

      One question I have. Are there any Costarricenses who are not crooks?? They seem to all be from the same cut of cloth here.
