OIJ arrests suspect in murder of hotel owner in La Fortuna
May 14th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) The Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ) reportedly arrested a man at 6:15am this morning, who authorities believe is tied to the February murder of a hotel owner and his two sons in La Fortuna de San Carlos. The suspect has yet to be named.
The arrest was made after officers raided the man’s house, and later found the man some 50 meters away from his home in Tirrases de Curridabat.
Authorities believe the man was involved in the murder of hotel owner Geovanny Soto Ruiz, 52, and his sons Emanuel, 20 and Juan, 29.
In February police arrested another man identified by the last name of Sandigo, 27, and his brother, aged 23. Sandigo’s brother was later released.
