SINPE transfers will be partially suspended for Labor Day and Obama visit

April 30th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) The Central Bank’s National Electronic Payment System (SINPE), will be partially suspended tomorrow, May 1st, due to the mandatory holiday for Labor Day.

SINPE services will also be partially suspended on May 3rd, because of a decree that public employees will receive the day off for the visit of U.S. President, Barack Obama.

The SINPE system is used for online and electronic transfers between bank accounts at different banks.

However, the Real-Time Debit Service (DTR) and Third Party Funds Transfer (TFT) will function normally, according to a statement from authorities.

Questions regarding the partial shutdown of the SINPE system can be asked by calling the SINPE Operations Center at 2243-3700.

Highly typical: At the operations center they don’t even answer their telephone. I strongly believe that what this government needs, together with all its affiliated services, is a good old fashioned enema.
