Plane crashes near La Carpio (VIDEO)
April 29th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) A small aircraft crashed minutes after 5pm on Saturday near the La Carpio neighborhood of San Jose, after suffering from an unknown mechanical failure following its departure from Tobias Bolanos Airport.
Rescuers were able to rescue to the pilot, who was trapped in the aircraft.
The Red Cross described the pilot as an older male, and said the man suffered trauma to his face and lower extremities. The pilot was taken to Hospital Mexico.
