April 24th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale struck at 1:35am this morning in the province of Limon, but was felt in various areas throughout the country.
The epicenter was 11 kilometers east of Matina, at a recorded depth of 11.6km. The quake was caused by a local fault.
Amongst the communities that reported feeling significant shaking were Limon, Turrialba, Cartago, and Perez Zeledon.
No injuries or damage have been reported at this time.
