Otton Solis asks Ticos to paint their houses and clean streets for Obama visit

April 8th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) The leader of the Citizen Action Party (PAC) and former presidential candidate, Otton Solis, is asking Costa Ricans to clean the streets, avoid demonstrations, and even to paint the facades of their homes in order to impress U.S. President, Barack Obama, when he visits the country in May.

 

Solis also congratulated President Laura Chinchilla and her diplomatic team on Friday for securing Obama’s visit.  Solis believes that Obama’s visit will “put Costa Rica on the map and raise its reputation.”

 

Obama will visit Costa Rica in early May, when he will meet with the heads of the Central American Integration System (SICA), over which Costa Rica currently presides.

 

This will be the first U.S. president to visit Costa Rica since Bill Clinton’s visit in 1997.

 

On Wednesday, a 40-person advance team from the United States arrived in Costa Rica to plan details of Obama’s visit, determine where the president will stay, and plan for his security.

    my impression is that the two presidents are pretty much joined at the hip. I’m sure Lady Laura can’t wait for the big photo moment where the world can see her and her revered leader of the free world shake hands. And once Obama assumes his pre-ordained seat as the Secretary-General of the United Nations, our outed presidenta will continue with the enamor in the hopes of a position by his side, working in harmony for a new world order. So glad we’re in capable hands.

    One shudders to think that this man, Otton Solis, was a percentage point away from securing the presidency. The man has absolutely no vision for Costa Rica, other than his little agrarian world.

    Why add paint chemicals to the ground?!! No politician is worth ruining the ground with paint that will look bad after it begins to wear off.
