Gasoline prices increasing again this week
April 2nd, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) The Regulatory Authority for Public Services (ARESEP) said that Costa Rican residents could expect another increase in gasoline prices this week.
Super gasoline will see an increase of 28 colones per liter, or about 106 colones per gallon, bringing its price to 2,903.40 colones per gallon (about $5.81).
Regular gasoline will see an increase of 24 colones per liter, or about 91 colones per gallon, bringing its price to 2,729.28 colones per gallon (about $5.46).
There are some minor decreases as well, however. Diesel will be going down in price by 8 colones per liter, or about 40 colones per gallon, bringing its price down to 2,460.51 per gallon (about $4.92).
Cooking gas (LPG) will also see a minor downward price adjustment.
Authorities say that the latest price adjustments are the result of pricing pressure in international markets.
The changes will take affect once publishing in the official Gazette sometime this week.
