April 2nd, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) What is being described as an electrical failure aboard a Boeing 737 carrying 149 passengers forced pilots to return to the Juan Santamaria Airport shortly after takeoff yesterday for an emergency landing.
The aircraft was able to return to the airport and perform an emergency landing without incident.
According to Freddy Roman of the Red Cross, airport authorities will conduct an investigation into the incident.
The flight left Costa Rica at 8:30am, bound for New York.
