Embankment collapses in Santa Ana leaving one dead and one seriously injured
March 26th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) One person is dead and another seriously injured after an embankment collapsed in Pozos de Santa Ana, near the Villa Real residential development.
Pablo Monge of the Red Cross said that rescuers had to extract the two victims from beneath the rubble of the embankment, one of which was taken to the San Juan de Dios hospital in critical condition.
Rescuers attempting to extract the second victim later found the person to be deceased.
The cause of the accident is not clear at this time.
