Some Easter Holy Week hours

March 25^th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) It is official Holy Week (Semana Santa), which means a number of institutions will be closed beginning at various times this week.

Here is a short reference for your convenience.

The Compania Nacional de Fuerza y Luz (CNFL) in the Central Valley will be open Monday through Wednesday from 8am to 5pm, and all locations will be closed on Thursday and Friday.  However, the phone number “1026” will continue to function 24 hours a day to report electrical outages.

Immigration offices will be closed all week, although the border posts will of course remain open.

ICE offices will be open from Monday to Wednesday, but closed the rest of the week, with the exception of the ICE office in Sabana Norte, which will be open until Friday.

The Ombudsman (Defensoria de los Habitantes) will basically be closed all week, though their email address will be attended.
