Doctor who promotes “cure” for gays to participate in Bioethics Congress beginning today
March 7th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) The controversial Spanish doctor who promotes the idea that gays can be “cured,” – Jorkin de Irala, will participate in the 5th Bioethics Congress being held in Costa Rica starting today.
However, the doctor will not appear before the Commission on Human Rights in the Legislature, as evangelical lawmaker, Justo Orozco had hoped.
Orozco said that although they had the votes to approve his visit, the doctor was not interested in appearing before the Legislature.
Protests were planned to greet the doctor upon his arrival.
