HEREDIA, COSTA RICA – October 12th, 2012 – The Japanese company TradeStation Global Services has opened its new software development center in Ultrapark II, in Heredia. The company will be hiring 60 professionals in its first phase in Costa Rica.

The company is well known internationally for its TradeStation real-time stock trading platform.

Their branch in Costa Rica will be in charge of supporting the maintenance and development of new applications for the TradeStation platform. The company will be hiring skilled personnel in systems and computers, with experience in the Microsoft .NET platform, SQL database developers, and other IT professionals

“At the moment, we have 15 employees, and they are already making our investment here worthwhile. We decided to come to Costa Rica due to the quality of the professional talent. We wanted to expand out of the United States, and we wanted employees that can help and support our projects in Japan, China and the U.S.,” said Enrique Pizzi, President of TradeStation Global Services.

The Minister of Commerce, Anabel Gonzalez, was present for the facility’s inauguration.

According to Gonzalez, service exports, such as software development, have tripled their levels in recent years, now equaling agriculture exports.
