MONTES DE OCA – September 11th, 2012 – The Municipality of Montes de Oca is barring the sale of any beverage containing alcohol as of 6:00 a.m and ending at 3:00 p.m on September 15th, Costa Rican Independence Day, in any establishment in the municipality of Montes de Oca.
Fernando Trejos, the mayor, said that the decision was made due to the celebration of the country’s Independence Day, and more so because of the number of parades in which hundreds of students from both public and private schools will be participating, accompanied by their families and the community in general.
This decision was made by the agreement of the Municipal Council, who had a session on September 3rd.
The Municipality is asking both businesses and the Fuerza Publica for their support.
