Panama - Panama's Health Ministry on Thursday raised the number of A/H1N1 flu cases in the country to 107, among whom 57 are women and 50 men.

Out of the 20 new cases, 12 were found in the Atlantic coastal city of Colon, bringing the number infected there to 18.

Panama City remains the worst-hit city with 87 cases.

Most of the patients were infected by two flu sufferers coming from New York.

The World Health Organization said Wednesday there are nearly 13,400 A/H1N1 flu cases worldwide, and the United States is the worst hit with some 6,700 cases.
