Chavez Presides at
Socialist Forum in
Venezuela
Caracas - President Hugo
Chavez on Wednesday presided at the first
socialist summit of government chiefs and
revolutionary deputies at the Venezuela
Military Academy in Caracas.
The governors and mayors should learn
everyday, Chavez said in his speech on
socialist leadership theory.
Governors, mayors and deputies from the
ruling party attended the meeting, as well
as military chiefs and special guests from
the United Socialist Party of Venezuela.
Chavez said in six hours he would present
measures to face the world economic crisis,
as well as political strategy to combat a
media campaign launched by the opposition.
He said governors from the opposition had
been trying to impede the advance of the
"revolutionary car" with legal obstacles and
ideas, but they would not succeed. |
