Transit with U.S. and Europe Visa
The four
Central American countries -- El Salvador,
Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua -- will
allow the free transit of tourist with visa
from the U.S., Canada or some European
countries, which are part of the Schengen
area, authorities announced on Monday.
According to information reaching here from
San Salvador, Salvadorian Foreign Minister
Marisol Argueta de Barillas said on Monday
that this measure will benefit travelers
from some 70 countries.
Argueta told reporters that the foreigners
who fulfill the requirements will be
authorized to enter El Salvador and three
other Central American countries.
Argueta said that the decision was taken on
March 19 by the Visa Homologation
Commission, formed by officers from the four
countries, in a meeting held in Guatemala.
