End US Blockade on Cuba

Caracas - US-Venezuelan Lawyer Eva Golinger urged an end to the US near 50-year economic, commercial and financial blockade of Cuba, in Venezuela on Thursday.Joomla! Logo

Golinger accused the US of abuses against humanity, promote conflicts and violating human rights, adding that the blockade inflicts huge losses and suffering on the Cuban people.

The attorney warned that the Administration of President Barack Obama is as imperialist as its predecessors so it will not either lift the blockade.

Yet, the US is loosing control and world power under the decadence of the empire while other countries are fighting and succeeding in bringing down such policy.

Golinger lashed at the allocation of $320 million to destabilize progressive governments in Latin America and attempts to divide the people.

The US-Venezuelan attorney urged the US to extradite torturer Luis Posada Carriles, whom Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez charged with planning his assassination at the inauguration of Salvadoran President Mauricio Funes.

Golinger reminded that Posada Carriles also masterminded the assassination attempt in 2000 of Cuban President Fidel Castro during the Ibero-American Summit in Panama.

Among other terrorist actions, Posada Carriles bombed a Cubana airliner and killed all 73 people aboard in 1976.
