Panama - The
Electoral Court of Panama will begin
deploying officials who will work in areas
if the interior of the country to guarantee
reach of the elections to be held on May 3,
official sources informed. About 280
officials will work in voting localities set
apart from the capital and they will be
transported both by land and air.
These actions are part of final preparations
for the coming general elections and also
include distribution of materials and
ballots.
The court counts on logistic support of
about 2,300 transportation means supplied by
the ministries and institutions of the
state.
At the same time about 500 persons are part
of electoral delegations in charge of
guaranteeing functional voting as well as
prior activities for the process.
In addition there will be both national and
international observers.
