Guatemala - For
the sixth time Guatemala is hosting a
conference on Cuban National Hero Jose
Marti. The bi-annual forum's opening
ceremony took place monday at the Guatemalan
Journalists Association on Marti and the
challenges of the 21st century in Central
America and the Caribbean.
Work sessions will start Tuesday at the San
Carlos University, Eliseo Zamora, counselor
of the Havana embassy in this capital, told
Prensa Latina.
The first of them, at the Faculty of
Humanities, will present "A comparative
analysis of Guatemalan literature in the
19th century and the Golden Age."
Other works are Homage to Guatemala in
Marti's Prose, Jose Marti a Sincere Man, and
Aesthetic Ideas behind Marti Poetry.
The second table at the History School of
that premises will be on Journalism,
migration and political thought of the Cuban
leader.
Marti: Journalist, Poet and Man, Some
Considerations of Migrations from Guatemala
in the 19th Century, and Jose Marti and the
New Codes: Womens Conditions in the late
19th Century will be also analyzed in the
event. |
