Costa Ricans Now Have
More, But Hot Has Happy
Than In The Past
A recent study by the
Mathematics faculty of
the Universidad de Costa
Rica (UCR) reveals that
Costa Ricans today have
more than before, but
are also less happy than
before.
The investigation
revealed that Costa
Ricans have a better
quality of life now that
20 years ago, however,
not very happy with what
thy have.
This is because Costa
Ricans live in a
consumerist society
where the message is
that one cannot feel
good unless they possess
the newest and latest
technology.
The study reveals that
more Costa Ricans suffer
from stress, depression
and headaches than in
the past, solely from
the feeling of not being
comfortable with what
they have and desire for
more. |
