María José In the Latin
American Idol Finals
In a controversial
decision by the
producers of the Latin
American Idol, no one of
the four finalists were
dropped, leaving all
four contestants, and
not three, to compete in
the grand finale last
week.
The news was met with
relief and consternation
by the family of María
José Castillo, the first
Costa Rican to make this
far in the competition.
"It was a change of the
rules", said José Luis
Castillo, father of
María, who added that it
was not right for the
producers to ask for
votes (each vote made by
way a cellular telephone
text message has a cost)
and then not drop any
one.
María José is expected
to arrive in Costa Rica
today to spend a few
days with family and
friends before returning
to Argentina for the
final competition of
Latin American Idol. |
