Super Gasoline Price Coming Down A Whole ¢1 Colon
At last Costa Ricans can breathe a sigh of relief against high gasoline prices - the highest in Central America, as the price of a litre of super gasoline drops a whopping ¢1 colon. No, misprint, the price drop is  a whole ¢1 colon, while the price of a litre of regular will drop a whole ¢5 colones and diesel ¢3 colones.

The lower prices go into effect next week, a day following the publication of the Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (Aresep) approval on Wednesday. The price of gasoline on Thursday 11 September will be: ¢736 for a litre of super, ¢721 for regular and ¢726 for diesel.

While gasoline prices start to make their trend downwards, the price of water is going up 25% once the Aresep approves the latest request by the AyA, the water and sewer utility.
