PANAMA -Elections fierce
contest for the
Presidency of Panama
shows a situation of
technical tie between
pro-government candidate
Balbina Herrera and
opponent Ricardo
Martinelli, with a
merely difference of
eight tenth in favor of
the second.
A survey carried out by
Unimer revealed in case
elections take place at
present Martinelli from
Democratic Change Party
would count with a
support of 32.4 percent.
On the other hand
Herrera from PRD
(Democratic
Revolutionary Party)
would have 31.6 percent,
according to a study
carried out during first
week of October.
The survey, published by
La Prensa paper located
Juan Carlos Varela from
Panama Party with the
17.7 percent, while
former President
Guillermo Endara from
Vanguardia Moral de la
Patria Party took up the
4.4 percent of the
intention of votes.
