Venezuela Sends Honduras

Tegucigalpa - Honduras
will receive within two
weeks the first 50
agricultural tractors
out of 100 donated by
the government of Hugo
Chavez, as part of the
program of the
Bolivarian Alternative
for the Americas (ALBA).
The Minister of
Agriculture and
Livestock Hector
Hernandez reported a
joint government-farmer
company will be created,
oriented to guarantee
the best use of this
agricultural equipment
in benefit of the
country.
The 30 million dollars
from ALBA will be
available in shortly for
the National Bank of
Agricultural Development
of Honduras, Tiempo
Digital paper added.
This fund and the 82
million collected by
means of the other
mechanism of integration
promoted by Venezuela,
Petrocaribe, will give
considerable resources
to the national
agricultural market, the
publication reads.
According to the source,
the budget obtained from
both ways will be
distributed in credits
for this important
sector of production,
hardest hit by constant
rains registered since
late October to date. |
