Venezuela Condemns Deadly Bomb Attacks In India
CARACAS - Venezuela has strongly condemned Thursday's bomb attacks in India's northeastern state of Assam, which killed at least 72 people.

"The Venezuelan government reaffirms its repudiation of all kinds of terrorist attacks ... and deplorable practices," a Venezuelan Foreign Ministry statement said Friday.

Expressing solidarity with the government of India, the ministry said it advocates the settlement of problems in a "non-violent and equal" manner.

On Thursday, as many as 12 bombs went off in less than an hour in Assam's major city of Guwahati and its western districts of Barpeta, Kokrajhar and Bongaigaon, Indian police sources said.

According to latest reports from the Indian government, the attacks killed at least 72 people and injured more than 300.
