Ticos Survive TACA Airline Crash
Airline officials confirm that 24 Costa Ricans were among the survivors of the TACA airplane that crashed in Honduras on Friday.

In total six people died and 86 injured in the crash.

One of the dead was confirmed as Nicaraguan, Harry Brautigam, president of the Banco Centroamericano de Integración Económica (BCIE) since 2003.

TACA flight 390 was en route from El Salvador to Toncontin airport in Honduras when the pilot could not stop the aircraft on landing.

On board were 124 passengers and 6 crew, in addition to 5 TACA crew members who were off duty.
