Gasoline Prices Cheaper Today
If you didn't fill up your gas tank yesterday, the cost was less today as the prices of gasoline products dropped at the stroke of midnight.

The price of a litre of super gasoline dropped ¢13 colones, from yesterday's ¢578 to ¢565; regular ¢12 colones, from ¢565 to ¢553; and, diesel ¢16 colones, from ¢527 to ¢511.

The cost of natural gas also dropped ¢19 colones beginning today.

The price change stems from the approval of the Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (Aresep) of last week.

However, don't get used to the lower prices, as the state refinery, Recope, will be submitting a price hike next Friday. The change, if approved, would take effect after Semana Santa (Easter Week).
