US Accused of State Terrorism
The "Freedom of Speech and State Terrorism," forum at the University of Panama found the US government a criminal State for violating international law and crimes against nations while allegedly fighting terrorism.

The accusations were presented at the forum sponsored by the American Association of Bolivarian Journalists.

Dr. Julio Yao affirmed that the United States is a criminal State because it has violated international laws, rode roughshod over accords, murdered foreign leaders and invaded nations "in the name of civilization."

The association's Panama Chapter president Dania Batista spoke of the "routine" practice of torture in the country's jails, with no one punished for that.

Parallel to the forum was the exhibition "Torture in Panama and other things," by artist Blas Julio.
