Central America to
Restore Middle Schooling
Guatemala, Honduras,
Panama, and El Salvador
will launch a Flexible
Program for Middle
School Education in
Central America for
people from 19 to 30
years of age.
Salvadorian Education
Minister Darlyn Meza
said this program will
run a flexible timetable
for the beneficiaries
wishing to complete high
school.

the program is aimed at
fixing the problem
arisen from the small
number of high-school
graduates due to school
dropouts and repetition
of grades, especially
because most students in
those situations are
forced to contribute to
their household income.
The daily said anyone
interested may attend
school on weekends and
choose among intensive
or conventional regime,
part-time (combining
independent studies at
home and tutoring on
Saturdays and Sundays),
and distance education.
The program, funded by
the Inter-American
Development Bank, will
be supported by the
Organization of American
States for Education,
Science and Culture. |
