have an added choice in
Costa Rica as
Guatemala's most popular
beer "Gallo" (rooster)
makes its way to Costa
Rica.
The Gallo will be
distributed by the
Cervecería Costa Rica.
The Cervecería Costa
Rica says it is
introducing the Gallo to
offer consumers in Costa
Rica different options
from the current brands
offered by the brewery.
Costa Rica's most
popular beer "Imperial"
is brewed by the
Cervecería Costa Rica,
as well as other brands
like "Pilsen", "Bavaria"
and under license,
"Heineken".
The Gallo beer is a 5%
abv pale lager. It is
Guatemala's oldest
continually produced
beer, dating back to
1896. It is also the
most famous beer in
Guatemala, and has
become part of
Guatemalan popular
culture.
