ICE Considers Compensating Cellular Internet Customers For Bad Service
Subscribers to "Internet Celular" over the Alcatel network may get a refund by the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE), as the institution recognizes the poor service over the last two weeks.

According to Adolfo Arias, telecommunications division director, the institution is considering compensating its customers for the interrupted service, that in some cases is still continuing.

However, before any compensation can take place, ICE needs the approval of the Autoridad Reguladora de Servicios Públicos (Aresep), who has said that ICE should carry out a technical study of the customers affected before it will approve any compensation.

ICE charges ¢3.500 monthly for connection to the internet over the cellular network. The poor service may have affected as many as 20.000 customers, ICE estimates.
