Cuba Signs Two International Treaties On Human Rights
Cuba signed on Thursday two international treaties on the protection and promotion of human rights.

Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque signed at the UN Headquarters the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, adopted by the UN General Assembly in December 1966.

"The signature formalizes and reaffirms Cuba's commitment with the rights protected in both instruments which my country has been systematically realizing since the triumph of the Cuban revolution in 1959," Perez Roque said.
