No Water For 200.000 in Santa Ana, Escazú and Desamparados Tomorrow
For those living in the areas of Santa Ana, Escazú, Alajuelita and Desamparados be prepared that the Acueductos y Alcantarillados (AyA) will suspend water service tomorrow (Saturday) between 7am and 9m as it carries out repair work at the Puente de Mulas 1 y 2 pumping stations.

Some 200.000 people will be without water.

Dora Acuña, manager for the Área Metropolitana de AyA, explaining the work is carried out twice a year - in February and August - for maintenance to the transformers and pumps and to change valves.

The AyA said it will provide six water distribution centres located at: En Santa Ana, 50 metres west of the Cruz Roja; Pavas, in front of the AyA offices; en Escazú, next to the San Antonio school; at the corner of the Hatillo centro park; and in Desamparados, 200 metres south of the Novedades bar and 150 metres west; and at the corner the Marcial Fallas clinic.
