Condemn US Blockade
The Association of Cuban
people living in Bolivia
condemned the US
economic, political and
commercial blockade
imposed to the Caribbean
island for more than 46
years.
According to Yana
Fernandez, president of
this organization in the
department of La Paz,
the repudiation to that
inhuman measure by the
US government is part of
the main activities this
year, as part of the
celebration for the 50th
anniversary of the
victory of the Cuban
Revolution.
Fernandez explained the
days in protest and
demand for the release
of the Cuban Five,
unfairly arrested and
convicted in the US
since 1998, are
priorities in the
association.
In an activity to
commemorate the victory
of Playa Giron (Bay of
Pigs) in 1961 in Cuba,
the members of the
association shared with
Cuban diplomats on the
results of the recent
meeting against
terrorism and the
blockade in Havana. |
