Venezuelan, Slovenian Presidents Meet On EU-Laitn America Cooperation
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Friday met with his visiting Slovenian counterpart Danilo Turk on cooperation between the European Union and Latin America.

Turk, whose country is the current holder of the rotating EU presidency, is on a Latin-American tour to coordinate the EU-Latin America and Caribbean summit set for mid-May in the Peruvian capital Lima.

Climate change and bilateral cooperation are among the issues to be discussed at the summit

On his first official visit to Venezuela, Turk paid homage to Simon Bolivar, the liberator of six Latin American countries, with a wreath at the National Cemetery.

Turk had previously visited Peru, Brazil and Colombia during the trip which started on March 30.
