Panama Demands Cuban 5
Release
A committee of activists
from three Panamanian
provinces demanded on
Thursday that the US
government released five
Cuban anti-terrorist
fighters unfairly
imprisoned in jails
ofthe United States.
The Pro-Five Committee
from the Panamanisn
central provinces,
presided over by
professor and
sociologist Bolivar
Franco, informed Prensa
Latina that the group
led the call to
Washington's diplomatic
representation to this
country.
The entity, assembling
social and human rights
activists from Los
Santos, Herrera, and
Cocle, also spread the
demand to international
organizations settled in
Panama, as well as to
the US people, political
and legal authorities,
and media.
This institution stated
that "Gerardo Hernandez,
Antonio Guerrero, Ramon
Labanino, Fernando
Gonzalez, Rene Gonzalez
remain unfairly detained
and serving harsh
sentences in the United
States, just for
fighting terrorism
against their homeland. |
