Panama, Colombia for High Investment Flow
About 20 Colombian enterprises form a commercial mission that will arrive here later this month to boost bilateral exchange, released business sources on Sunday.

Among the sectors interested in opening new business in the isthmus appear agro-industry, development of software, cosmetics, garment industry, wood and metal-mechanics products, reported the Colombo-Panamanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Cicolpa).

Panama-Colombia investments amount to 5 billion dollars presently, according to Cicolpa's figures.

Surprisingly, Panamanian enterprises' investments in Colombia amount to 3 billion dollars, reported the entity in charge of boosting economic relations between both nations.

Meanwhile, Colombian enterprises' investment in Panama amount to 2 billion dollars, reported the Union's data.

In declarations to the press Eduardo Cristo Perez, Cicolpa President, noted that most of the Panamanian investments in Colombia belong to the financial sector.
