No Water For 8 Hours Today
If you live in the areas of
Alajuelita, Escazú, Desamparados
and Santa Ana, get out a bucket
and fill it with water before
10:00am today, as the Acueductos
y Alcantarillados (AyA) - water
and sewer utility - said it will
shut off water completely to
those communities until 6:00pm.
The shut off is to replace an
electrical transformer at the
Puente de Mulas. The work should
take no longer than 8 hours and
will be carried out by workers
of the Instituto Costarricense
de Electricidad (ICE).
Roosevelt Alvarado, director de
Servicio al Cliente del
Instituto Costarricense de
Acueductos y Alcantarillados (AyA),
said that the work is urgent,
which if not carried out would
have major consequences to water
service.
The AyA gave a list of all the
affected communities:
Santa Ana:
Santa Ana Centro, Pozos,
Gavilanes, Las Pilas.
Escazú:
Escazú Centro, San Rafael, Bello
Horizonte, Anonos, Guachipelín,
Alto Palomas, Jaboncillo.
San Antonio de Escazú:
Lotes Badilla, Corazón de Jesús,
Carrizal, El Carmen y Bebedero.
Alajuelita:
Alajuelita Centro, San Felipe,
Concepción y San Josecito.
Desamparados:
San Rafael Abajo, Maiquetía,
Novedades, Los Ángeles, Santa
Cecilia, La Florita, Higuerones,
Vizcaya, Sagitario, Gardenia,
San Miguel, La Capri, El Huazo,
Sector 7 y Los Guido.
