Colones Fine For Overcharging
Bus Operators
The Autoridad Reguladora de los
Servicios Públicos (Aresep) made
it clear over the weekend that
bus companies that take
advantage of the Semana Santa
travellers by charging a higher
than approved fare could face a
¢1 million colones fine and/or
lose their concession.
Rainy
Season May Be Early This Year
It appears that the "temporada
lluviosa" or "rainy season" may
come a little early this year,
even though it typically a
period of lots of sunshine and
heat, as evidenced yesterday
afternoon when a dark cloud from
the north resulted in downpours
and lightining bolts in some
areas of the Central Valley.
