3G internet users saw disruptions over the weekend

iphone 5 launches in Costa Rica

March 11th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) ICE’s mobile internet service saw disruptions over the weekend, both on mobile phones and for those who access the internet via the company’s “datacard” services.

Elsy Artavia from ICE’s customer service department said the outages were due to upgrades being performed on the company’s network, though she could not provide any additional information.

ICE customer service also said they were unaware of complaints by users that have been made for the past several weeks regarding the company’s 3G internet service, even though many people had reported on the company’s web pages that the service had been failing continuously.

ICE said that as of 5am yesterday morning, the company does not expect any further disruptions in the service.
