Starting at 5am, a series of blasts mark the official start of the 2013 carnival, which will run until Sunday, February 10th.
The first major event of the festival will be held tonight, beginning at 7pm, when one of nine candidates will be crowned queen of the carnival.
Tomorrow, the highlight will be the tope, which will begin at the INA, passing Cocal, the marine park and the Paseo del los Turistas.
Sunday will be all about music, featuring acts such as Mistabless & Tricot, Banton and Freddy Alvez.
