Fire consumes 14 buses early this morning

November 15th, 2012 (InsideCostaRica.com) A fire broke out around 1:50am this morning at the bus depot in Piedades de Santa Ana, consuming 14 buses that were parked there overnight.  The buses serve the Santa Ana-San Jose route.

 

The blaze took firefighters an hour to get under control, with the help of reinforcements from fire stations in Santa Ana, Belen, and Pavas.

 

Firefighters required three fire engines and a water tanker to control the fire.

 

Guards and staff responsible for cleaning and maintaining the buses were present at the time of the fire.  Authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze.  There were no reports of injuries.
