October 4th, 2012 – According to information from a survey done by CID Gallup for a local news source, the current government has been the second worst since 1978, according to Costa Rican citizens.
Two out of every three respondents disagrees with Chinchilla’s administration.
Jose Maria Figueres Olsen came in slightly worse than Chinchilla, according to the Presidential Administration Opinion Index, as the survey was called.
Citizens view the current administration as the most corrupt in the poll. They also say the administration has not been able to solve the two main problems facing the country, which, according to respondents, are crime and the economy. Respondents are unhappy with the high cost of living and unemployment.
Interestingly, while most citizens describe her administration of the country as “bad”, they generally still like her as a person, with most poll respondents describing her as a “very good” person.
