LIBERIA, COSTA RICA – September 10th, 2012 – A man was found dead in the swimming pool of the Hotel los Boyeros, in Liberia, Guanacaste.
The authorities identified the victim as Michael Alejandro Calderon, 31 years old, from Cartago.
Hotel personnel found the victim at approximately 10 pm on Friday, and immediately called 911.
The local Red Cross came to the scene, where the man was declared dead.
Carlos Salazar, an emergency technician, stated that the death was due to drowning.
The Fuerza Publica indicated that the man had an injury on his head; however, it is unknown how it occurred.
Calderon worked for Carrocerias Leiva and was staying in the hotel along with another workmate.
