Petroliferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB)
began driling Huacaya field in Chuquisaca,
central Bolivia.
A YPFB report on El deber daily says the new
field will raise natural gas production for
the domestic market, plus Brazil and
Argentina, help increase gas reserves, act
as new income source and improve the local
living standards.
The project will also boost
industrialization of regional oil, and
enhance supplies to Sucre and the
neighboring cities.
Bolivia set in motion fuel production
recovery three years ago and YPFB plays a
key role in this process.
