Venezuela, Cuba Fortify Tourism
Havana - With the purpose of
creating alliances and agreements in the
tourist industry with sibling countries, the
Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela fosters
tourism as both a receiver and conveyor,
official sources said here Thursday.
The
Minister of Popular Power for Tourism in
Venezuela, Pedro Morejón, explained this
strategy during the International Tourism
Fair FITCUBA 2009 on May 4-8 in Havana.
Morejón summarized, in an official
communication, that with Cuba they
established stronger connections with regard
to tourism in both countries and that within
these plans they highlight encounters and
meetings with international airlines so as
to create new air routes.
Morejon informed that to strengthen the
formation of tourism services they work with
the Institute of Formation and Tourism of
Cuba (Formatur) and the National Institute
of Tourism of Venezuela (Inatur), to
exchange experiences.
Cuban Tourism Minister, Manuel Marrero,
pointed out that Cuba continues to keep as a
priority the enhancement of tourism under
these strategic alliances. |
