Up Last Night?
If you didn't fill up your vehicle's gas
tank last night, be prepared to pay more
today, as the price of gasoline when up at
the stroke of midnight last night.
A litre of super gasoline sells this morning
for ¢570 colones, up from ¢492 hours ago;
regular sells now for ¢551, up from ¢472;
and diesel 462, up from ¢400.
A significant change, if you ask us, while
the price of crude oil on international
markets falls.
But, don't despair, the government regulator
says that a decrease is on the way, to go
into effect by the middle of next month, and
by a measly ¢3 or ¢4 colones.
We suppose it is better than nothing.
