Chavez Nixes Coupists, Warns of Threats to ALBA

Caracas - Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez condemned today the bliundness of the Honduran coupist regime of Roberto Micheletti and the grotesque show of soldiers defending the indefendible.

What blindness that of the oligarchy, offering a bloody spectacle to the world, pretending to send us back to the caverns, affirmed the head of state in the act to commemorate the 198 anniversary of Venezuelas Declaration of Independence.

They are not going to triumph, they will have to respond before the world and history for this blind pretensión contrary to the currents of the new history.

Chavez revealed reports of the TV network Telesur informing of wounded and probably dead demonstrators during the repression by Honduran military at the Toncontin international airport.

He added that, according to the source, about 50 thousand persons broke the military siege and broke into the airport.

Chavez warned today that "imperialism" and the oligarchy prepare new offensive actions against the members of the Bolivarian Alliance of the Peoples of our America (ALBA). The president blamed "that damned empire who is guilty of most of the evils in this continent."

He affirmed that the Honduran armed forces were made to the image and likeness of the yankee empire and there they are acting against the people in a savage way.

I dont lose hope as a soldier that those events are going to generate the awakeningt of the patriotic soldiers of Honduras, he sentenced.

He assured it is dawning in our continent and them (the coupists) pretend to take us to the darkl hour of tyranny, her goes our solidarity, he concluded.

That is a warning for us, he said, because that oligarchy is the same as ours, that does not respect laws constitutions, does not respect nothing not even itself.

In his speech, he calle don Venezuelan soldiers to look themselves in that mirror and calíbrate the differences between an army used by the burgeoisie to topple a president of the people.

Look yourselves in the beautiful mirror of a people that loves you and together with you gives its life for our motherland, he referred.
